i afraid that may cause clipping to the signal with all that signal boost.Dare I suggest turning on the LOUDNESS button //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
GF's car has a cheapo Pioneer HU that's 2v preouts and the ONLY way I can get decent output to sub and speakers is using loudness on setting #2. Otherwise it all sounds flat, even with amp gains at max.
Same sub/amp that rocked in my car off an Excelon with 4.5v preouts sounded like *** in her car until I started trying the loudness settings as it has 3 levels. So many guys consider it the kiss of death that I didn't even consider it for a few weeks. Glad I finally did as it was like night and day.
I do have a pioneer premier HU . deh-p960mp. great deck w/ nice eq and active x-over capabilities (pro-mode). if you're interested. 6.5v preout also.
