Anyway to test an amp to see if it works?

Well i bought an amp off of a board member here who claimed it worked. I needed the amp by friday the latest because im moving. Come to find out, the amp isnt turning on at all. Im getting no light where the power light is, all the wires are ran correct, the fuses and fine, etc. Is there anyway to test this amp? Im beyond pissed off at this point because I really needed this amp.

well if everything is ran correctly, and you are getting power, switched power, and have a good ground, and no fuses are blown, thenyour amp might be shit. talk to him and see what he says

have you tried running a wire from remote to power on the amp to see if it turns on?
