it depends on if you want to run a simple one or a computer supply. i think comp supplies are better because you can run multiple PSUs to combine amperage and you can pick up 4 PSUs from used computers or off of the internet for cheap.

you can find them from 15 bucks to 150 for some sick nasty output ones.

Been thinking about doing this...I have a Type R sitting here and a 500 watt memphis amp that would be awesome for my living room. honestly a 380 would run the amp fine. you wont need to have it on full tilt to get it loud. my RA is cool with it and all the guys in my hall are cool so its nice.
