I also think vehicle plays a role too. Little different putting in a system in a 2015 fusion than say a 87 blazer ..Not much electrical compared to the newer cars and you're putting a box in a space the size of my bedroom. Try cramming my system in my trunk along with the electrical in that Alero. Much different.

i guess some like to throw money out the window....no body has touched my truck. and nobody will. and im disabled but i will still do the work even if it takes be 10 times longer. plus it gives me something to do or i would go crazy.

ya, wouldn't want them to mess up that sweet 88 blazer. a rare, classic exotic like that should only be handled by the most competent of mechanics.

I really think some of thou don't understand that time is money, and some people's time is worth more than what someone else charges. example: I do the work on my old camaro and my old jeep myself. however, on either of my mercedes I pay someone to do it. why? my time is worth more money than someones hourly rate. someone who knows the ins and outs of the car.

I sure would. I think the 900 sounds fair, box price seems a bit high, but it looks really quality.

They quoted me $750 for just labor to build me a box. That's not counting the materials

Naw they get it it's just the usual internet stuff lol. Then again some guys are super good at this stuff and it's a hobby for them so I get it. If I was super skilled had all the gear and plenty of free time I might do some of my own work. I don't have the tools, skill and I sure as hell ain't putting that stuff in in my apartment complex lol.
