Im looking to add a head unit in my 2003 Explorer. Its the Eddie Bauer model, with the factory subwoofer. Im not too sure on exactly what to buy to install it and have everything still work... So i need:

Dashboard kit

Wiring harness

Something to make the factory sub work

Something to make the steering wheel controls work

Help me out.

Im sure there is more than just a wiring harness to make the factory sub and the steering wheel controls work. Im asking if anyone specifically knows what I need.

**** that helped:rolleyes:
EDIT:

To keep the subwoofer and factory amp working you need:

Wiring Harness: Metra 70-5517

Dash kit for Single Din: Metra 99-5026

Antenna adpater: You don't need one..

Steering wheel controls: PAC SWI-X

Hopefully that helps.. oh and for that wiring harness you need 1.5K Ohm resistor to eliminate turn-on pop(put it on the remote wire)
you = teh Manz.

what cd player is it?

the SWI-X is universal and you have to mount a IR repeater eye and such, if you have a big name brand you can get a SWI JACK or similar that just plugs in the back
