Doing an install for a friend on a budget. $300 was budget for sub, amp, loc, wiring, and enclosure.

Going into a 2013 Dodge Dart. Local shop wanted $600 to install an amp and prefab 10.

This is what I have spent so far:

Skar IVX12v2d2 $70

Skar RP350.1 $69.99 Refurb

Audiocontrol LC2i $66.06

NVX 8 gauge OFC wiring kit $42.75

Total $248.80

Been trying to find a prefab enclosure within his range. Or even a used enclosure. Running out of luck. Even building one will cost me more that $50. I'm stumped.

I think you can build one for $50 bucks or less TBHonest.A sheet of MDF screws and silicone is really all you need.He can finish it at a later time/ carpet, paint or??

It will just take your time and some tools. Maybe he can help with some of the use of tools and may have some screws lying around in the garage ect??

I may have to build one. It will just be bare wood. I would likely NOT use screws. Just wood glue and clamps. Then silicone the inside.
Be much better off building one. I still like use screws myself. Ive glued and clamped a few and they always seem to need attention within the next 2-6 months due to a leak from pressure or vibrations.I do both and silicone inside and outside

no they lie about airspace i've checked some and they like 1.2-1.3cf at best.. u shoulda got a fu300 sub for $59 new it'll kill most skars if u give it 600rms (could find used kenwood amp etc for $50).. this the box like i have my pioneer in., this is 2cf total mine is 1.75cf but with power that low u will need more airspace.. this is best box by far u will find under $100 port end is even rounded and it's tuned pretty well after sub disp probably 35-37hz (other prefabs are 40-50hz after sub disp no matter what they say) https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-SINGLE-2-0-Cu-Ft-PORTED-L-VENTED-3-4-MDF-GREY-SUBWOOFER-SUB-ENCLOSURE-BOX/282600080773?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D49917%26meid%3Db88427a462b34fa39b0435b9647ae35b%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D272110568441%26itm%3D282600080773&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1 about 10 other peeps have bought these boxes that i know (on here) and they all very happy

Here's a freebie for ya'... all ya' gotta do is build the thing... I hate seeing people use most prefabs, this should do ok...
