Had some leftover Minwax spar urethane when I refinished some furniture, so I just put a coat on the brackets.

Heh, call me crazy but I'm actually quite happy with the Bazookas. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Before them, I ran about five setups, including a Type-R 12 ported with JBL BP600.1...2 x 10" Dayton DVC subs sealed w/ a Planet Audio amp..and some RF's a long time ago when I first started...they were all fine and plenty loud but they weren't my style.

Anyway I always looked down on Bazookas too b/c I thought they were too cheap and they weren't "elite" enough in the car audio scene. But after actually using them, I realized they're really decent subs. Not mind-blowing or anything but solid performers. And I like them for their small size and super efficient design so they don't need tons of power + external amps and boxes. So from personal experience, I found that the Bazookas worked and sounded better to me, in my car (which is only a small hatchback).

I know I can get something better and in time I'll upgrade, but for now I'm content //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
