install help

Wassup car audio...im new here...im comin to a problem installing my system...at first i had b.s. Polk audio 12's...with a 2000 watt pyledriver amp....and it was bridged...the amp blew the polk audio subs...so I went and bought pioneer championship series pro 12's...as soon as I hooked them up I noticed they wasn't hitting hard...I tried tweaking the amp and still nothin. ..now even tho my polk audio blew, they hit harder than my current setup...so I tried to bridge the amp and when I turned the vol up the amp went into protect mode...and that is my problem...thanks for the help

Yes...the amp stays n protect mode until I cut it off...I turn the car back on and its ok till I turn up the vol...then it goes red

That amp cannot do 2 ohm bridged. Have to run each channel to a sub. Polks were probably a better speaker than the pioneers. Polk are not junk. We're the polks dual voice coil?

Polls were not dual and the amp was bridges with them...I jus knew I was gonna hit harder with the pioneer subs...shuda I keep the amp and by others subs or vice versa?

Probably 8 ohm subs. Definately a new amp. A small 500 to 600 watt true power amp would probably do pretty decent on those subs.

Also the pioneer website states that those subs are dual 2ohm and dual 4ohm voice coils

Just caught they were pro's. What model subs do you have? Do or d4? If they are the champion pros you want a good 1800 to 2000 watt amp.

Jus took one out and it says these r D2's...3500 watt max...1000 watts nom....it has 4 speaker connectors grouped together...it almost looks as if they r bridged

You want to run them at 4 ohms so run the speaker in series. Then run each one to a channel on the amp.
