i plan on installing a single 12" sub in a 1999 lexus gs300. the car already has a nakamichi system in it including a small subwoofer.

my question is could i remove that sub and install an old school elemental design sub in its place ( i would have to build an enclosure of course). or would the amp not be enough power.

so if i want to add on another amp how would i do so?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif the head unit would be stock.

i have installed amps before, but only single amps. im not so sure how to run multiple amps.

thank you

how would i go about installing a second amp?... power, ground.. remote ( i can just run from the first amp??).. what bout signal (rcas? how would that work?)

Are you replacing the factory sub because it is blown, or because you want to upgrade?

anyone?
bump
You're going to have to run power wire from the battery, a remote signal, ground the amp, and get a music signal. Probably the easiest place to get a music signal would be from the factory subwoofer (try to get it before the factory amp if you can) and use a line level converter. Pretty straightforward amp install.

imma beginner just need to kno how to get a signal to the amp. could i just a line out converter after the stock amp?

Please help!!!

I am dying for some help here. I have a bluetooth carkit, harmon kardon driveplay, and sirius satellite and they are all ready to be installed. I want to do it myself, but my problem is that I cannot locate my ignition wire in my 2000 Ford Taurus SEL with digitized climate controls. All of these devices call for a wire to be connected to the inigitio switch. I went to best buy and a couple of local stores that do installs, and you'd swear it was a trade secret. they just want me to come to them and to have it installed....NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!

Is there another option to hook them in....maybe the accessory box? I am not sure, but I am ready to install this stuff and trying to locate the ignition switch has just drained me. Please Help.
