Install Help Needed w/ Comps and amp?!?!?!

Ok so I recently did install for a friend of my brother who lives in SC... the headunit was not put in by me and original install of running the wires were done by a local shop....

Anyway I had to change a couple of things on it, one being moving his comps from the rear deck to the front(shows how good of a shop it was by putting his only components in the rear of his car). Also I hooked up sub amp and and added a sub.

Everything plays fine and everything is tuned, set using DMM blah blah blah...

Well its been about a week and he notices his front right speaker sounds muffled..... he then plays with his headunit fading it to the right to see if that is the problem. When he does this it turns sub off, to where there is no substage, but when done to the left the substage comes on and left component....

anyway what could this be?

any help please, he is in SC now, so I will be walking him thru some steps over the phone when he checks things out tomorrow

any fading on hu from front to rear?

actually sounds like it could be that the rca outs of the hu might of been switched around.

sometimes the way the subs are wired it can affect the fade and balance

ya.. rcas might be mixed on the h.u.. like one of them.. might be in a set with another..

negative, everything should be in phase good sir.

yea it sounds like mixed up rca's the right front speaker and right half of the sub out sounds reversed.

this part of the install I didint do..... so tomorrow I should have him pull the deck out and change reverse the rca's?

Yea tell him to read the back. It should say sub. Rear. Front.

Im guessing the shop just randomly put in red and white.

Subs will prolly hit harder when he fixes that. If that is the problem

they prolly did this bc when they first hooked up his amp and components they put his components in the back for some reason

ok so I had him take out his deck and fixed the backwards rca's which did affect the fade.....

now he still has the muffled sound coming from his right door speaker.... I dont think there is a term on it, but just the wire wrapped around the speaker term, could this cause it?

he says if totally faded to the right he gets no sound.... maybe channel on head unit blown?
