Are you putting the factory carpet back in? Like the side panels? How thick is that MDF? I'm in the same dilemma trying to put my amps in that location in an accord but still want to retain my factory carpet. Don't know if it will fit over the mdf though.

Yeah all the factory carpeting and what not will be put back in. MDF is 3/4"
