yeah facing them forward will most likely eliminate trunk rattle but it also causes cancellation in some of the waves.

if you (shyne) open your trunk and the bass gets louder, you have cancellation

I was told that your trunk isn't properly sealed off if you open it and it gets louder. When I open my trunk there is no audible increase in the sound.
