inside screen on 9600mp quit working

My pioneer with the motorized faceplace deh-p9600mp had the big inside screen turn off. The lights used to light up on the inside faceplate but no longer do. I tried replacing the ribbon but that didn't help. Has anybody ever had this before? My unit was reset so I can't even turn my sub on without those buttons.

my 960mp started a similar problem except the lights work fine, it will not operate in open mode, when I try to open it it shuts itself off and restarts itself and repeats the process an infinite number of times.

I've had nothing but trouble with mine and am going to replace with with a Clarion dzx775usb

thats too bad, i have had two pioneers and both have treated me very well until this problem. Hopefully the ribbon will fix mine.

same problem the screen is cheap to replace from wut i hear but never got around to it just sold to someone else.
