info on high level inputs

The jist of my question is, can I produce quality sound from the OEM headunit using high level inputs if everything else is done correctly?

I just inherited my wifes 2009 mariner. It came with the sync commands and the dashboard is in perfect condition, so I don't want to try and go with an aftermarket head unit. It also has the oem sub in the very back, so I have access to that wiring without having to try to run anything from the front or the rear doors.

I want to put some loud subs in the car, to take me back to my childhood days. I'm 38 and when I was in my teens, I played with many different systems in many different cars.

I want to set up 2 12"s and 2 15"s in a sealed box, and find some nice old school soundstream reference or ppi amps.

Question is, is it possible to take that rear channel and split it with a high level output to rca output, split the rca outputs to 4 channels and run that through a crossover out to the amps and still produce good sound?

Not only will it save me $1000+ dollars, but also about 6 hours of time.

Thanks in advance.

get a jl cleansweep or a DSP that actually DE-EQ and provide a proper signal. No audiocontrol, no cheap LOC, no amp with high level inputs. They just boost the dirty signal thats already there, does not clean up anything.

You need to de-EQ the factory deck and actually restore bass into the signal or else you'll run into every horrible issue that everyone that did cheap loc and audiocontrol LOCs run into.
