Infinity Reference 1230W???

hello everyone, i just have a question about my infinity 1230's i had just purchased these subs and found that i don't have enough room for a ported enclosure, i was just wondering if Sealed would sound good too,, i listen to mainly rap, Hiphop, R&B and some alernative music..

it's a 94 cavalier, and 2subs, i want an enclosure that will give me a little kick, nothing that's going to kill me or something, but i don't have enough room for a ported enclosure..

how are the GTi's? and yes the Infinity's will do good in sealed

Twistid: Shut up.

thuggish: you'll be able to know the lows are there, they just won't chatter your teeth like a low tuned ported enclosure would. Personally, I'd take a ported box that's slightly too small, rather than a sealed that's properly sized.

they sound good in sealed I have 2 in my burban powered by a hifonics 1000 watt amp. he is right they don't get that low but you will hear the lows but the mid bass is where they excel.

okay again, thanks for the replies, i can always try both enclosures, or even try to make a custom fit enclosure. I do want the lows because of the music i listen to, but i'am not sure if ported will give a little kick or not, really i have never heard anything in a ported enclosure, i only have used sealed in the past.

build a 3 cube ported enclosure tuned to 30htz... i know you can fit that and it'll slam decently and sound real good

well i did some measuring and i CAN fit a 4.00cube box in the trunk so i guess i can go ported with both subs..
