Infinity Kappa 60.9 component install

So i just bought the infinity kappa 60.9 component system for my 1999 VW Passat. I took my door pannel of and there is no way the tweeter will fit in the spot. Has anyone ran into this before? What can i do?

Some tweeters can be taken out of their casing to fit in factory locations, like the little tweeter pods on top of the doors.

I know the Vifa made Soundstream tweeters I have can be taken apart like that, but I dont know about Infinity's tweeters.

how do i know if they come out?! there are no screws on them.

The casing on mine unsnap, but you really need to look at the manual for your speakers before doing anything.

If you dont have a manual try the Harmon website.

I looked and it came with a few different ways to mount them. The problem is i dont have the depth to use the different mounts. I have about 3/4 to 1 inch of depth. They dont say anything about coming out of the outer housing.

So i got a 1 7/8 drill bit and cut out where the factory location was. Then i put the tweeter in it and it worked great. You see the silver tweeter but it looks really nice with the black interior. Now i have to do the backs which is will be tough because the tweeter is right next to the door handle
