Inexpensive SQ 4 channel amp?

Any good ideas for a cheaper 4 channel amp (or two twos) that would be good for a decent SQ setup that I could go active with later? I am currently running a Hifonics and I know its crap, whats better for not a lot more $$? I have the HSK 163's now and am getting ready to install them.... Never done SQ before so any help is appreciated, its gonna be an SQL setup but I like it clean...

The cheaper the better, but if its a four channel I think I want at least 100 watts + for something in the few hundred range if it can be had....not sure if it can though.

the sundown 100.4 125.2 or 50.4 are very affordable

Sundowns have a noise issue. Two friends of mine run sundown amps in MECA and they keep getting points knocked off for a noise of some sort. Both are not happy with them.

For a cheap awsome SQ amp, Phoenix Golds ZX450 fits the bill. You can set this amp up w/its own xover to run active. Most amps on the market can't. It's rated at 75 x 4 @ 4 ohms, but test have shown one did 111 x 4 @ 4 ohms and one was capable of doing 142 x 4 @ 4 ohms. not all the testing equipment was needed to confirm the 142 x 4 claim, but a clean 111 x 4 it can do.

I use one and love it.

These aren't made anymore but they stomp the other amps mentioned in this thread in SQ. This amp retailed for $600 plus back in the day. And don't be fooled by the rated output. I have 1 that puts out 80 X 4 or bridged at 300 X 2. Very nice amp equipped with hpf, lpf, and bandpass filters.

the 4125 quart amp is severely underrated its an xxv sister amp in a dif case and chassis. what hifonics do you have that you say is shit? they use alot of the same components as other " high end" amps do and have won many SQ comps. the zeus line is top notch for such a cheap price.

I would say sound stream but than again I never saw them or used them. I am only familiar with audison. Maybe you could get away with alpine.
