I need to figure out some stuff about plastics. I don't know who would exactly know.

I need some sort of plastic or plastic epoxy (like resin, but not brittle) that can be poured into a mold easily. I just don't know who to talk to or what to look into.

Closest to what I want is called a 'thermosetting' plastic, but I have no ideas on prices, who is quality, etc...

Well, I'm designing a speaker mounting system and I need a good plastic that has a high density, strength without brittleness, and is easily drilled into when it is fully set.

Could I just grab bulk plastic beads and melt them and pour?

I'm making a mold out of fiberglass, then pouring whatever high density material I can get ahold of that is form fitting into it.

The only other solution to this is to create and entire mold out for Fiberglass resin and carve into carving plastic or MDF. The idea is to use less work though.

Lol, let me rephrase that:

I need a meltable, non-carcinogenic, oxidation resistant, heat resistant plastic for the project.

I'm going with High Density Polyethylene I think, we'll see.
