I can respect that but even u can say that the 1500 and the z do not use the same parts. That's no secret it obvious as all H ellI can not go into any details regarding design or building of those drivers. Sorry.
To be honest I really can not say more then what I said.I can respect that but even u can say that the 1500 and the z do not use the same parts. That's no secret it obvious as all H ell

Glue on the coil and DD logo...everything else is up for public debate i guess.
Lets go a little deeper into the enclosure.Got bass, concerning your post on the second page about 'lacking upper end' and everything. Rabbit is absolutely correct. While the driver its self obviously will have its natural tendencies, the enclosure is ultimately what determines output and sound. Lacking upper end would be a good characteristic of say, a commonly oversized/bottom heavy enclosure and just not built or oriented correctly for the best response within the vehicle.
While i am an IA dealer. The death row and HDC are both wonderful subs. In terms ofquality, i would personally feel safer with an Is product. The DP would of course be my first choice if the budget allows. You cant go wrong either way, but you can choose what fits best.
Get an SPL meter first. There is no substitute for just building a ton of different boxes, different sizes, different tunings, different port sizes, all different orientations in your car. You'd be amazed what any given sub can do and the variety of different types of response you can get...even same box just pointed a different direction can be dramatic.I'm still in the learning process on response curves and have a few questions. Of course I want to get the the flattest response as possible and in order to do this with my sub, I am having to build a box as small as possible while tuning as low as possible. I also want to keep the group delay down as low as possible, with clean output, but at the same time, I still want my low end to be loud. What would be a good compromise at fb as far as gain is concerned so its not too peaky but still produce good enough output for my goals?
what im after is a sub that can hold at least 1500 rms watts and yet hold the middle ground for rock and rap and wont sound muddy.which ever one fits that bill,is the one im after.Got bass, concerning your post on the second page about 'lacking upper end' and everything. I can. The 9500 series with "supercharge" option uses neo shorting rings etc. This prevents stray flux and gives this driver the same motor force as the 9500z and does it more cheaply. This nullified any reason for the 95z.To be honest I really can not say more then what I said.

There's a dozen I can think of off the top of my head that will do that. Pick one that can handle the power you need and you like either the looks of or you like the way the company treats you, or you just get a good deal on and start building boxes and testing. I've been using the same subs for a few years now and I have had a huge variety of different tunings and responses by just building different boxes. I'm still not even sure what I like.what im after is a sub that can hold at least 1500 rms watts and yet hold the middle ground for rock and rap and wont sound muddy.which ever one fits that bill,is the one im after.
