umm, I believe this is the largest car audio forum on the net. So is your sub blown too or just the amp?haha well i did hook everything up correctly im just no understandung why my amp fried all of a sudden........? i had it poundin my 15 earlier, i hook this one 12 up to it and it fries? idk, i am very furious, and the guy with the jesus in his name your a idiot, iv said several times its a great company......maybe this is why no one on the internet likes ca.com?
Ok man, there is a gain setting tutorial around here somewhere. You need to read it, now. Also, go on BCAE1.com and read EVERYTHING about gain setting, preout voltage, and etc. Your gains were most likely set completely wrong and underpowering/clipping were most likely the cause of death. Unless there was some major defect with the sub, this is not IA's fault. There is alot more of a chance that its a simple user error. Learn from it, make sure your gains are set right, especially if you'll be underpowering anything.haha well i did hook everything up correctly im just no understandung why my amp fried all of a sudden........? i had it poundin my 15 earlier, i hook this one 12 up to it and it fries? idk, i am very furious, and the guy with the jesus in his name your a idiot, iv said several times its a great company......maybe this is why no one on the internet likes ca.com?

Indeed, im not sure how i could get it fixed no one around here does that. I think it'd be easier to just buy a new one.Sorry about your bad luck, but it does appear it was a user error in one shape or form.
Maybe you can get the amp fix and run the other driver, I guess its a good thing when the amp went it didn't take both drivers with it.
Thanks,
Nick

I suggest you ask a mod to remove this thread. There is little point in keeping it up, especially the way post #1 is worded.
