I would like to have full control of both the Kenwood X993 HU and a Zune via a large touchscreen. The vehicle is an OBS Tahoe which I am researching having a custom console built into. Possibilities involve moving the X993 and oem climate controls out of the dash and into custom the console. That would free up the dash space for a touchscreen.
I have no desire for navigation or DVD unless it literally was a byproduct of buying the components. Nor do I have a desire to purchase a single din HU with a flip out screen of any kind. I like the firmness and integration of a solid flush mounted screen.
I have researched the web concerning the integration of the zune and literally found very little though the demand seems to be voiced. It appears the best integration comes from just plugging the zune into the HU's aux audio in jack. I am willing to go through the effort for whatever provides the best music quality.
I apreciate any opinions or guidance on this project.
