in desperate help amp problems

Did you ground your cap also? If your amp isn't turning off, then that means nothing is telling it to turn off (i.e the remote wire is constantly supplying 12v which tells the amp to stay on) Try testing your remote on wire with a DMM (digital multimeter) and see if you are getting 12v even when the car is off, if thats the case, then try hooking your remote on wire to something that turns off when the key isn't in the ignition (radio fuse?)
