Improving on the meter

This port is obviously shorter, the regular port is right next to the ***** hump in them middle making me thing it's ignoring the airspace around the port but I dunno for sure. Not gonna model it in fluid dynamics lol

Well first you need some bracing lol... those are long panels to have no bracing. Second I can't for the life of me remember what my sierra peaked at... I want to say it was in the 45hz range. But I had 2 15s forward and a port on each side.

Yea yea... I know audiopoop... lol but it did 147-148 outlaw in a daily box... and only a AP2500.1

Just for fun... flip that box around rear fire and see what happens, other than extreme rattle lol...

oohhhhhh its a truck.... i read trunk
if possible try sub forward port up, it may not work well in the larger body truck but ive seen it do great in s10's
I own a s10 and have my sub firing up/port up. From what s10 owners have said/stated, this is loudest spot.

lmao yeah mostly extreme rattle

that's a big *** box taking up a lot of airspace, almost looks too big. probably why you peaked higher. your cab almost looks smaller than mine but it's probably the way you took the pic.

How is your box not moving around?!

That box needs bracing badly, 45s in the corners wouldn't hurt either.

The hump in the bottom isn't very good to have in there in terms of fluid dynamics.

Try firing up, I wonder how the soft material of the seat affects loading. I would also caulk the seams on the inside of the box.

It's double baffled but I don't deny it could use some bracing. Doesn't flex at all, but again, I can't exactly see small amounts of flex. It doesn't leak either, but I'll see if i can caulk the seams.

Can you flip the box and aim the port up?
I'm not sure how I'd manage to aim the port up as the box is only so deep. Maybe with a 90 but that's getting to the point of not being worth it considering I'm getting a new box built

Put your hand on the box when the bass hits, if you feel any vibrations it's flexing and you are loosing output.

You'll know it's bad if your hand begins to tingle or go numb after 30sec lol
so none of it would come back to the box through the cab where its mounted?

I mean, I'm sure there's some flex, this box was built for a hds315 on about 2k lol so uh there's A LOT more motor force and power now

I’d try a loading wall off the side of the box for the port to fire into, rather than the truck door.

45s in the corner, even if it’s pieces of sono tube, and same with 45s where your hump is.

Meter on drivers side and see what it does

Set up like that should peak on drivers side

Or flip box to sub passenger side

Also like Jeff said port up

Try just angling the box as much as you can
