impedence issues please help

you can set the amp on an oscope to get the cleanest possible signal but the AMP itself does NOT like a .5ohm load. this is what YOU are not getting through your head.

i wont kill it right away, if the amp can take it the amp can take it man. its like they said on teh other thread the sundown is factory guaranteed down to .5 ohm and you can wire it down to .3( out of guarantee) and run it fine, i want to know if i can run the hifonics at .5 without worry of long tearm damage.... i.e. anyone with knowledge of the hifonics amps

are you not getting it man? Its the ohm load you are wanting to get out of that amp. I wouldnt do it. And I have done alot of dumb things. See if you can return the amp. Then find a used VFL 100.1, IA 20.1, SAZ 1500D, or Crossfire VR2000 those are strong amps and will work great for you.

the only way i think you would be safe is if you have some huge impedence rise. but the amp stil may start in protect mode but may roll out of it. is this daily? if for daily listening i wouldnt do it. lol. sell amp?

LAWL, i've owned a hifonics bxi1605d.

second you CANNOT compare the hifonics to a sundown what so-ever they are 2 completely different qualities in amps.

third the sundown is NOT guaranteed at .5 anymore. going below 1ohm will void it's warrenty.

fourth: NOT ALL COMPANIES ARE THE SAME. just because one amp can be .5 stable does not mean another companies amp will be .5 stable.

just go run your amp at .5 and enjoy it while it last.

rofl that is what i want to hear tho man, i can get a sundown if need be but i have hurd this hifonic is the equivelant at the moment. i want a answer from someone that knows the hifonics brand and if the **** thing will do it or not, as i said its not imposible to think of **** i just want to knwo if the **** thing will do it or not before i hook it up and find out it will overheat. as i said im not looking to max out the amps rms wattage at 1 ohm so whats the difrance as long as it stays on and dosnt go into protect
