HU wiring problem

I have a Pioneer 4900 HU and a 2001 Durango, and for some reason I can NOT get the constant to work... at first I was like no big deal, but when my girlfriend drives it I think she is going to blow the interior speakers because it comes on with LOW and MID at +4... anyways does anyone know a way to remedy this problem.. Thank You
