i have two subs that take 750 rms watts each, and a hifonics brutus 1600 x1 at 1ohm, can i run the brutus at .5 ohm and just make sure to keep the watts under 1600 rms and tune it with a osiloscope and be ok, or do you think i will blow the amp???

all thoughts are helpfull please help me out with this( at the subs 2 ohm load there at 1100 rms watts raited(dual voice coil 2ohm)so i have no shot at 1 ohm)

its not the fact of keeping it at 1600 watts. its the impedance you are asking of the amplifier. Those amps dont like .5 ohm. heck many of them had trouble at 1 ohm. Please stop reposting your question. It has been answered numerous times //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

then why does the company and sevral others seam to think its fine, and it was never answered, please answer it for me now instead of *****ing, it may cut down the efficincy of the amp but it dosnt mean it cant take it

thats the hole point tho is i dont want to fry the amp, i have been wanting to hear people's thoughts on hifoncs more tehn anything, and i thought i exsresed that in both post's

then just do it, but don't come back a week later starting threads about not knowing why your amp is not working.
