I have a kicker zr600 old school amp powering kicker comp vr 12.4. wired the sub in series to 8 ohm to avoid another amp death like my previous one, my question is, if i wired the kicker sub parallel to 2 ohm and bridge it on the zr600, what ohm will the amp see and can it be done?

What impedance is your kicker comp vr 12.4? Insufficient data to solve your Ohm;s Law problem.

It's a dvc sub with 4 ohm per coil... wired it in series because last time i wired it parallel my previous amp died..

It will be running @ 1 ohm if it's a 2 channel as I think it is. 2 ohm if it's a monoblock... If wired parallel

Yes the amp is two channel and i want to bridge the connection.. so the amp is seeing 1 ohm in bridged mode if i hook it up to the 2 ohm cvr? If 8 ohms (cvr voice coils wired in series) then the bridged impedance would be 4 ohm?

The load(impedance) doesn't change if the amplifier is bridged. Two ohms at the subwoofer is still(for the sake of simplicity) a two ohm load to the amplifier.

Unless a 2 channel amplifier is designed to be run at 2 ohms bridged, do not attempt what you're asking. Most of the time a 2 channel amplifier is stable at 4 ohms bridged at minimum.

The ZR series is stable at 2ohm mono and 1ohm stereo, i used to run a zr360 to a Hertz Hi Energy..

OP, the amp will be fine...but keep in mind, those amps were pretty strong. I think it is rated 600x1 at 2ohm and will definately do more than that. Like 8-900 which will blow a cvr if you are not careful

Thank you for your answers, i'll run the cvr at 8 ohms bridged (basically 4 ohms right?) Until i got another cvr or other pair of subs..
