Image Dynamics CTX65CS - Image Dynamics 6.5"

If I had anything negative to say, it is that the tweets could stand to be crossed a little lower than they are in the passives...If running active I would pull the Xover point down somewhat with a steeper slope...But they are not harsh at all and actually have a nice top end sparkle for a cheap soft dome tweeter. The mounting hardware is top notch as well and offers a lot of flexibility.

heard them in my buddies stratus off of whatever the bigger us merlin 4 channel is. They sounded awesome and were paired up with a set of of ctx 6x9's. rear fill only on when passengers in rear though. oh and he has an idmax 12 in there and all this paired up sounds so smooth

I should be getting a set of these soon. Last night i made some baffles for my Focal 6.5.

Does anyone know if id have to make the hole bigger for the ID'S?

Purchased some off lytteviet there are between texas and IL right now, I should have them wed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Just installed these. The tweeter and vocals from the woofer are smoother than the Focals they replaced. BUT im wondering why the woofer is hardly moving. My bass and midbass is still flat. I wonder why... The focals woofer moved more than the ID's. Im running an alpine pdx 150.4 and i didnt make any changes, just swapped out the crossovers. Made sure i had all the polarities right. But the woofer hardly moves. So confused.

The Focals midbass sounded better. I'll give them a month, just odd how the woofers hardly move. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

double check polarity too.

Yeah a swapped the polarity just to make sure it was right and every time i did it the woofer would hardly move. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

Just installing mine today I noticed it was VERY easy to pinch the surround with the mounting screws, have you checked to make sure you arent pinching the surround?

Yeah i made sure, that's one thing im always careful with. Wouldn't want to puncture the surrounds. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

They sound good, but mine hardly move. And i really have to turn it up to hear the midbass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

After two weeks of use. MY GOD these components are great. For their price they are worth every penny. I love the silk tweeters. And the Mids are great. Really happy with this purchase. They match very well with my 10W6.

Highly recommend this setup.

I was about to get a set of those, but I decided to spend some extra money and get the Hertz HSK-165. I hope I'm not dissapointed in spending the extra money, but I'm sure I'll be happy.

I really hope the midbass get better at low level with time, coz out of the box there is no midbass till 100watt+. My entry cdt sounded better at low level.

Do they get better with broken in time? tweeter too don't sound as good as cdt tw25 i had before... maybe i just need some time?

These 2 are worlds apart!

Absolutely. I have an IDMAX 12 in a 1.65 cubic sealed box on 900 watts and it sounds great. You won’t be disappointed. Pull the trigger.

I may get a pair of his 6" woofers for the back. It's an extended cab pickup so the enclosure won't be as bad as a door with holes in it. Highs...
