well, of course they're gonna tkae long to release something new. In order to release something new, you have to make it better than the old, which would pretty hard for ID to do.
Still waiting on the IDOne. It was not a replacement for any product. Just something that was talked about for many years (even used some proto's in competitor cars I think)...but has never made it the way of the general consumer. This is going on 5yrs or so now.

15" IDMax...original discussion began around the year 2000 I believe. Not replacing any product, just an addition to a present subwoofer line. Still waiting.

CTX subwoofers....as of Sept of '04 all ID had left to do was finalize packaging details. Still waiting....must be some in-depth packaging selection going on over there. Even have info about this new subwoofer line on the webpage. Not a replacement of any present products.

They also have some prototype IDMax v4's floating around since early '05. Not sure when those are supposed to be released.....but I'm not holding my breath.

ID is just super duper slow... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

And everyone wondered why it took foever for the Arc Flatline to be produced/released...They dont slack on just their own stuff. The given though is that they build a hell of a subwoofer in the end.

Their products definitely are not lacking from a performance standpoint. Hell of a product comes out of that joint.

They just need to be a little quicker at it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/spank.gif.0d78e34d42ea8780359e903aeb6697d6.gif

I agree, nothing worse than waiting and not having an item available.

But you also have to wonder if things would be the same if they didnt run a small, tight-knit operation. It may be in the consumers best interest from a quality standpoint that it is- what it is...ID is not the type either that requests consumer buy in or have to push group deals to embark into production of a product. They simply seem content in applying their efforts into their OEM responsibilities, and their own product gradually. Alumapro for instance still makes fantastic drivers- but their marketing sucks, and you dont hear much about them anymore. Meanwhile the company stays afloat w/ OEM gigs..tooling/producing CAT systems these days....thats big $$.

In the end, I still would want a driver from either company- that need is what keeps them around our circles and developing drivers for us- the audiophiles. They way I've learned to accept it is- due to the current direction of the 12v industry- anything we get, regardless of how we get it- is a priviledge..lol

marketing... When it comes to ID I do not see much marketing. The only thing that comes close to marketing is their products marketing themselves and word of mouth from those who hears them.
