I'm think I'm going w/ a compnent set!

Why 4 speakers and 2 tweeters?

I'm going to guess you have coaxes in the back, and are putting comps in the front?

If so, the components will come with a passive crossover, which will run to the amp. Each crossover gets a channel on the amplifier. The crossover will then have outputs that lead to a mid and a tweeter.

They'll work fine off of the 4 channel amp, as long as it's all connected properly.

AHHH. thats awesome! So it basically splits the channel two ways...

Thanks for answering both of my questions!

Yeah.. coax in back, mids and tweets in front...

I'm going with Hi-fonics... 50$ for the set... Seems like the best I can get for that price range.. lol. what ever though... I'm not trying to make an amazing SQ setup.. Maybe once I get bored of loud *** muddy bass.

You have 500+ posts and don't know this yet? Hope it goes well for you.

Your only wanting to spend $50? If so why are you getting Hifonics and why not save up a little more to get a set where you'll actually hear an audible difference!

547 posts?? i have like 120 and i knew the answer and im audio retarted.
good luck, hifonics??? get a used ebay or on this classifieds decent set!
lol, have you ever owned components before? I haven't.. Besides posts don't mean shit.

Yeah.. I'll see what I can find... For 50$ though would anything be better than the hifonics? w/e I'll get it for Christmas.. Then I shoudl be able to get some decent ones...

Will it be bad to have not so good speakers in the rear, and nicer ones in the front? Will it sound like poo?

Thanks guys.

What kind of 4ch amp? I'd bridge it down to 2channel (possibly, depending on specs) and just throw a set of pg rsd's off of it in the front, and not worry about back. If you really want some for the back, I'd just throw them on HU powa for a bit of fill, but you shouldn't really need them.

I'd go Rsd's/MB's of the one's you listed. No experience with the Rf's, and the alpines don't have as much midbass as I like (depends on what you like though)

$50 is really not much for a component set. You should really save another $30 or so and get the rsd, as most people here would say. I have no experience with them so I couldn't tell you.

Will you be getting an amp to run those those speakers. It doesn't really make any sense to buy a component set without amping them. You're probably only giving them about 20% of the power they really want.

Then I would get about 100w each for the front... I'm just worried about the back distorting if it's running off of HU power..

I'd definitely do that then, I assume the amp was putting out 50x4 before, and giving the rsd's 50w would be embarrassing(although 100 isn't perfect either, but alot better). To acomplish a good sound stage, you most likely don't need rear fill, but if you want them for just that ( "fill" ), and depending on your headunit, you should be fine running them off of it if you really wanted to.
