I have a 2007 chev trailblazer and This is going to be my first install of this nature so I need some help. My H/u is a Pioneer DEH-P8200r (45x4, with 3 pair of RCA preouts Front/Rear and Sub, 2way x-over HPF and LPF). I will be running a 4g wire from my Batt to a distribution block then to My first amp is a 4 chan. Pioneer GMx334 with bass boost, (30x4 at 4oms and 35x4 at 2oms, Chan A has a switch for LPF,off, and HPF and chan B also has a switch for LPF,off, and HPF). My second Amp is a MTX thunder 102.100 RMS bridged into 4oms( Has a switch for AMP X over...HP,FR,LP, and another switch for Rca x over..HP,FR,LP.) wich will be running my sub. My question is these dam switches WHERE DO THEY NEED TO BE ? I dont know if I gave enough info or to much.

PS. I plan on buying some component speakers for the front and 2ways for the 2 rear passenger doors. ANy suggestions ?? thought about some Memphis.

just commenting on what I can make out,

set high passon mids highs to 60hz

set low pass to sub at same freq

run only mids in rear doors.

deaden the door at the very least.

also make sure to read up on how to set amplifier gains

have you installed the hu yet? do you have bose\onstar? if you do, you need a gmos-04 interface for the hu to work unless you re-wire the whole system. without the interface you will no longer have any of your warning chimes or onstar capabilities.

And WENN am I to understand these are the settings on my H/U correct ?....(I dont know how to put your comment in this reply other then copy and paste)

yes littledane i already have the interface, and it is all hooked up but now that im adding a 4 chan i know that im going to have to rewire some things to keep my chimes. that someday soon will be my next post on how to do...lol

you use the amp settings on them
I know I sound like an Idiot, but to make sure I understand you correctly.. my 4 chan amp wich will be powering my componets and mids needs to be set on HP, and my 2 chan wich will be powering my sub needs to be set on LP....right ?

yes,and you can use the crossovers built in to the head unit too,so set those to off on the amp..
