I'm putting together a complete system.

Kind of. Long story short, I turned in my leased car and am now driving a

2005 honda accord. The stereo system is bone stock and horrible, so I'm looking to

upgrade my system.

Here's what I am considering getting:

Deck: Pioneer DEHX-6700BT

FS: Alpine SPS610c

RS: Alpine SPS619

Amp: Alpine MRv-M500

Subs: Kicker 10DC122

And after everything said and done, that's about $750. My question is, can I do better for less?

I went to a local big box store and listened to the setup and for my tastes I thought it sounded

great. Anything at this point is an upgrade from what I have but I really enjoyed the sound.

I listen to bands like Audioslave, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage etc.

I'm open to anything, but as of right now I really don't have the means to build my own box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm sure it will sound different, but I figured it would sound "better" in an enclosed space.

I've been looking at cheaper amps like the Boss R2500 which claims 580w RMS. Should I stay away from them or are they worth the $80 price tag?

Boss is the lowest of the lowest. There is no regulation on these brands. Cut what it claims in half than strike it with lightning. If you don't take the time to install right it will sound worse than stock.

We have a sound board and a vehicle to listen to. Bass in our showroom is almost nothing like the same subwoofer, enclosure and amplifier in a vehicle. Speakers are usually installed facing a good amount away from our ears in vehicles, unless you pay for custom installation. Did you stand directly in front of the speakers?

I'm not trying to change your mind about what you heard. I'm trying to steer you in the direction of realistic expectations that what you heard in the store will be quite different in your vehicle. $750 really isn't a realistic budget for a full system upgrade including professional high quality installation. Corners must be cut.

Don't worry about rear speakers. Just the front ones "front stage".
Lots better subs over kicker. Let it rain kicker haters
I honestly do not hate kickers, but then again I have no recent experience with them. When I first got my friend start in car audio, not breaking the bank was huge. This was about 8-9yrs ago, so we picked up a pair of CVRs for about $120 shipped off ebay on 600W, put them in a prefab box - for that price, it's definitely legit bang for the buck. Now they're in his little bro's old celica hatchback and, of course, are way louder. But since OP is going for a $300 sub, kicker is out of the conversation.

No. 1 means instead of buying a rear set, buy a better component set for the front stage. I don't have any experience with CVX subs, but I see it's like $300. Here's 1 sub to meet all your needs:
HDC3.110 Copper Coil Subwoofer
That thing looks ridiculous lol. I'm not trying to level houses when I drive by lol. The kicker CVX 12 i was looking 0at is between $150 and $200.

I'd need a much bigger and more expensive amp as well no?
