I'm pretty sure I blew my sub..

Set sub to 6/12 and now I can barely feel it hit...ughhh

didnt you say you turned the gain all the way down? If so it will prob not hit much at all. So if thats true again set your gain with a dmm, set ssf as 30hz (which I think you said it was at), and check your LPF (should be around 80hz i think)

the gain is there because all decks do not put out the same voltage.....therefore there is a sensitivity (gain) knob so you can match your decks output. If you have it all the way to the left, you are telling the amp that you have 5v preouts of true voltage from your deck which may be way off

yes...when you plug the remote in, it takes over as the control

could be inflated.....i've heard of 4V units putting out 1.5- 2 volts actual

I forgot to mention that when I took the blown sub out of the box yesterday I looked behind the box and the end of the positive speaker wire that connected to the terminal cup on the box was black and melted (the wire coating, not the wire of course)

Does that usually happen when a sub blows?

no...could possibly have bigger issues...I guess it couldve shorted causing the wire to heat up but idk
