can't complain still working . been using it ever since
''FAIL!
P.S. What box do you have?
It might be a box design flaw. Tuning it too high with out a subsonic filter will allow for the woofer to play under it's range which could cause it to blow.
Take the wattage you are wanting to run to the sub, multiply it by your final impedance and take the square root of that. Example: 800 RMS, sub wired to 2 ohms.
800*2 = 1600
sqrt(1600) = 40v.
he's good on the box...its an Alpine specs box 34 htz. Plus he just got this box in the mail today.FAIL!

any auto parts store. i bought one for like 2 bucks before i bought a better one. or sears has 50% off some craftsmans one right now i think.I dont have a DMM...where can I get one.
western NY, near Buffalohey bro ill take that blown one off of your hands.
where in ny are you?
lol i had the same thing happen to a ooold pioneer, so i layed it on the driveway and fed it like 800 watts, and then sub go poof. It's probably blown man, that sucks to hear...i'm guessing that when you kind of push on the cone, there is a lot of tension and it won't move? that's a tell tale sign. also you can check ohmage on the coil...if its anything but spec, your sub went poof...
