Well, Pine Ridge is actually an escarpment in Nebraska and SD, the Reservation is named after it.

I have family in Colorado and in Utah... You couldn't go wrong with moving to Denver, Boulder, or SLC.. Good luck!

Nice areas there too, I spent some time out there in the summer also.

Looking into a smaller area though, rather than the City.

Property in Colorado is outrageously priced

nebraska is pretty much what youre describing. up in the northwest theres actually a national forest and in the extreme west by the colorado border are actually the edges of the rockies

not too small, not too big (225-250k). quite a bit of things for families to do together. even in the worst part of town, the crime isnt real bad. ive never ever had a problem with my car audio getting jacked here.

the house i live in now is a 3bdrm 1ba and its 625 a month. before that, we had a 4bdrm 1.5ba with basement in a bad part of town and it was 575 IIRC

uh, well the football team sucks right now. basketball and volleyball are teh pwnz. it is home to the 9th (somethign like that) fastest supercomputer in the world, PrairieFire, hotties EVERYWHERE. its a good school. i will be attending it this winter for computer engineering...

I am thinking about applying to a graduate program at UNL. It's probably not the ideal method to for choosing a graduate program but i need to find a place that is cheap enough to rent a house. I have a couple large dogs so apartments are out.

I used to live in Rapid City. I liked it. As far as housing, try looking up Kari Stevens. She's a realtor there (or used to be anyway). I used to be really good friends with her son. It's worth a shot. And the weather there isn't bad at all IIRC. It's DEFINITELY better than Wiscosnin weather anyway. Housing wan't too bad when I lived there(but that was 10 years ago, so it could have changed a lot). Shouldn't be too hard to find work as a butcher around there, with all the hunting and ranches. Don't know about nursing though. If you have any specific questions, I'll try to help you out as much as I can.

lincoln is a BIG melting pot. theres alot of asians, blacks, hispanics, etc. most of the 'minorities' live in north lincoln, which is the bad part of town. as far as places in town where you would get shot for being white, theres none of those. id be comfortable in walking by myself in any part of town at any time for the most part
