I'm moving in the spring

Have you considered Aberdeen?
There are a lot of jobs in Aberdeen. I know the nursing homes are always looking for CNAs and they are building a new beef processing plant that will employee something like 800 people. The job market is good in Aberdeen and housing costs less.
To be honest, no I haven't considered Aberdeen, I would really prefer to move West River.

Meat packing houses are generally low paying jobs, as they don't require a worker to actually break down a whole side of beef, it's more of an assembly line type of job. Somewhat takes the integrity out of butchering.

Housing costs are definately a bit more reasonable that the Black Hills area.

Black Hills are expensive, but you can still find some reasonably priced properties out there.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty working on a place.

Faulkton, honestly thank you

have you been here in the winter?
No sir I haven't.

I've done a little research, and the weather seems a little colder in the winter and a little hotter in the summer.

I know East River the winter can get pretty brutal, I've heard some things about it.

I've read, though, that the Black Hills stays a bit warmer than areas East River, and sometimes get Chinook winds that bring in 50 degree weather in the winter.

Don't get me wrong bro. PA is a cool state, and it's nice here, a lot of chit to do and all that.

I kind of like a slower less crowded more peaceful life though, nah mean?

dont know if its been said yet but check out a couple places to live online before you go, move there, get a hotel for a couple days and check out those couple places you checked out online......

or before you move plan a couple day vacation and take her out there do a little job hunting and apartment hunting...some potential employers might even pitch in for moving costs.....

Haha, its awful hard to plan a couple day vacation out there. It costs 400 bucks a person to fly out there, or it's a 20 hour drive.

I have been doing a little research online just to see what the deal is though.

I have actually been looking at Nebraska, but only really for it's scenery.

The Pine Ridge area has quite a nice appeal to it.

Pine Ridge is the biggest reservation in the United States, but it is also the poorest. It is probably easily comparable to the least developed countries of the Third World. Unemployment on the Reservation hovers around 35% and 61% live below the Federal poverty level.[1] Adolescent ******* is four times the national average. Many of the families have no electricity, telephone, running water, or sewer. Many families use wood stoves to heat their homes. The population on Pine Ridge has among the shortest life expectancies of any group in the Western Hemisphere: approximately 47 years for males and in the low 50s for females. The infant mortality rate is five times the United States national average.
you must be talking about a different pine ridge
