I'm looking to upgrade

i am wanting to upgrade from two 12 inch alpine type r's. They are *sealed*. I would like more SPL and i'll be okay as long as the suggested sub has the same or better SQ as the type r. I would like to spend maybe 300 for 1 sub that can outperform 2 type r's in SPL. Or, if i have to, i am willing to spend a little bit more for two subs.

I cant do ported, because if anybody here owns a camaro, they know that finding ported box that fits is slim to none or very expensive ($300)

no.. i cant. i dont have the time or tools or skillz

i might be able to pay someone to combine the dual chambers into one big one and port it if i can get a nice sub suggested. I'm only workin with 1.5ft^3 each chamber
