My subwoofer is directly bolted to the frame of the car, so vibrations around that area are transferred all through the metal, and it vibrates against the trunk. I've had to reinforce my rear deck to prevent it from moving so much.
It gets loud... I think it's louder than when I had it in a sealed box, with more power. And the blend is great. It gets up in volume when you need it, while sounding amazing for anything from rock, to classical symphonies. So glad I made the change.
That's one of the Fi IB subs, isn't it?
Be a nice sub to have. If I expand, I'd go to one of those. Just means more cutting. And a bit awkward to fit.
That sub pictured is a motor from an Rl-p(TC9) with Fi softparts. When I asked Scott @ Fi to build it, my intentions weren't to use it IB'd. It was supposed to be for my brother's setup in a 1.5cuft sealed w/ 1kw. I just got lucky that it works great IB'd with only 250w. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
