That is quite possibly the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Only a small percentage of Pits are vicious and the few that are were raised to be that way. It is not just built into their DNA, and what right do we as humans have to "destroy" another other animal on this planet? We own a Chow Chow, a breed that is supposed to be very protective and vicious towards other people. Our Chow is the sweetest dog you will ever meet and that is because we raised him in a good environment with plenty of love. Mean dogs are a product of the way they were brought up.

Screw chows. I still have scars on my left leg when my neighbors' caught me with it's jaws for no reason. Granted that dog was crazy as shit and not raised by good people, but still. I know they loved the dog, but don't know if it had been abused at all before they got it. Fucking thing nearly killed my little sister and ended up attacking the neighbor's niece. Every time someone would try to have it put down the bastard owner would run off with it. Eventually, his sister had the dog put down while the guy was away.

Ok. I'm not gonna jump in cuz you fukkers are vicious. But think about this: how many times have you seen or heard about a poodle attacking someone? How about a jack russell terrier biting someone? Now when was the last time you heard about a pit mauling someone? Exactly. I have a springer spaniel. They are natural hunting dogs and that's what I wanted. Pits are fighters. I'm not saying every pit out there is vicious, but they as a breed have the tendency to be worse than other breeds.

You don't hear about it because the media choose what to report. Pitbull attacks always get high ratings, so that's what they report. Media manipulation at it's finest. I hate these type of threads, never accomplish anything.

Guns don't accidentally fire...negligently, that's another story. Its never the guns fault that the owner/handler is stupid.
Pits are different in that the dog itself is the problem, the owner can do all the right things and eventually one day the dog will still snap and eat a baby
