if it truely happened..go outside, shove a hose into your intake right now. turn the hose on full blast and start your car. video tape it. post.

he has a closed air box.. so it will take longer for it to take in water being submerged, then sticking a hose in and shooting water straight in it.

an engine sitting in water and starting up afterward NOT in the water is pretty likely...as long as it doesn't run while submerged that is...but the 4-5 feet of water thing is very baffling, especially for the length of time you claim, with the ECM's and the main computer systems being not that far from the ground, they would have surely sustained damaged which would cause them to no longer function...i guess you are lucky...or full of isht like everyone is thinking...either way, you got a mess to clean up there...

a good interior guy can do the jute and pretty nice carpet for $200 installed...make sure you clean down that sheet metal...

yeah but if its submerged overnight..im sure it would have quite a bit in there by morning

i think the carpet will be fine, its pretty dry, just need to shampoo it for that smell. Just a closing word, my airbox is about 4 feet up, it was barely submerged.
