I'm about to get 15s and don't what's best for the box I have

I have a dual shared chambered 15 inch box tuned at 33hz. I want to get the best 15s that would work with this box. The box is 6.8 cubes before displacement. I was thinking of getting soundqubed hdc315s since I already got some of their 12's but I want to see what would be my best option, for this box of course. Also, I need them to be able to handle atleast 3000 watts rms

In that box dc will be one of your better options. The hdc subs need more room. If that box is a pre fab. Which I suspect it is. Don't use it. Build one

Naw, it's not a pre fab. My friend made it a year ago. He decided to get a bigger box and let me have it. I figure I might as well try to put something in there. What Dc subs you think are the best?

You are better off making a new baffle and putting 12s in it. There is a reason DC subs only work in small boxes and it's not a good reason.

That's what I was thinking of too. Do you think my SQ 12's would work in that box if I do that? I have the hdc3s.

Ok, so the box for 15 inch SQ is too small. In general do you think this box is too small for 15's and better suited for 12's? I mean shouldn't the 15s in this box get louder than 12s?

12s in proper space will be better than cramped 15s. They will have more bandwidth and play much flatter. You could even do a single 18 if you can make the baffle work.

I think its too big for 12s. 5.5 cubes would be the max I would put those 12s in UNLESS you were running low power.

Tantric md 12s would be fine. Nothing wrong with dc subs if you use them the way they are designed. In other words. If dc says 3.5 per sub. Don't build your box to 5.0 cubes. Period

If you HAVE to use that box I would do 2 15s but 15s that doesn't require huge boxes like AQ/SQ
