I have no idea what that means and hope somebody help me out.I don't know if thats the frequency. And if it is what does it mean. I'm going to get some subs soon and the info from the company says that in a ported box should be ported: 1.5-2.0 ft^3 @35Hz . I listen to rap and I'm not sure if i should go down to 32Hz. "Just because i hear people saying 32"

Subs are gonna be Sundown Audio E-series 2ohm.

that means you need an enclosure with 1.5-2.0 cubic foot of airspace solely dedicated to the speaker, and not its basket displacement or port displacement and tuned to 35 hertz for the most optimum conditions for that particular speaker.

1. The lower is the tuning frequency, the longer will be the port. This could be an issue if box size is a concern..

2. This should depend on your subjective preference. The lower you can tune a subwoofer box, the flatter it will play.. outside of a car. Inside of car, you will get a peak in the low end. Some people like this other don't. On the other hand, if you use a high ish tuining frequency, your low-end will suffer but you will have more SPL potential.. I am not expert on rap, but my understanding is that having lowest possible tuning is not essential. Also remember, that tuning frequency is not an on/off switch. The subwoofer can still play below the tuning frequency, although an appropriate subsonic filter setting may be necessary to prevent over-excursion.

This is my thought as well. Would be a much better box volume if you could buy the 12" version of those subs.
