i have a set of mpyre 6.5" comps, which if you dont know did not come with tweeters but did come with a cross-over. so i bought some CDT tw-25s tweeters to go along with the set...

im only running 100wrms right now to each door, i want to get a new amp but not sure which i need....

see the mpyres are 150wrms and the tweeters are 100wrms, so i was thinking 250wrms@ 4ohms but....

i started reading the active and passive x-over thread stickied at the top and it says it just slipts the power with a passive xover so woudl 250wrms be too much for the tweeters to handle??

around 100 per side should be plenty and there aren't many tweets that will take an honest 100watts...

i really feel like i should be getting more volume out of them though....

i was thinking about throwing 200 wrms at them, just wanted to know if thats a safe move or not...

Sending the Crossover 100WRMS is the same as sending the tweets and mids 100WRMS. The crossover seperates the frequencies and sends them to the proper driver.

Hence why you just need to send your Xover 100 watts.

And OP: You're a tool.
