Illumination?? What voltage?

I'm looking for the wire from my harness that controls illumination.

I've found one that is ~5v at rest, and 12v with the headlights on. Is this the proper wire for illumination?

No, didn't cut it. Testing through the molex plug. No aftermarket harnesses available, so i'm going to be splicing into it. Keeping both factory and additional HU's operational

correct parking light's/headlight's...

Illumination is a variable voltage.

Check for a wire with 0v when the dash lights are off, like 5v with lights on, dimmer at it's lowest, then like 12v when dimmer is at its highest setting.
