RD D9 is out of my price range possibly a 5750.1 will be something i might look into that or the IA 40.1

too much money, can get an ab 500.1 for less than that and do the same power and drop to .5 and .25

The 5750.1 is similar to the D9's in output, about 6k at 14v. Zenon board, well built, and a good amplifier all around.

Can run at .5 all day.

Also - the 500.1 vs the D9 isnt a bad comparison. Similar boards, similar output(although the D9 does more power)

The D9 is a very very well built tank of an amplifier.

anyone explain why i would need to run the IA 40.1 at .25?? instead of 1ohm rated to do 3600@ 1ohm right and at what voltage??

I've ran the 40.1 and the D9 and to tell you the truth they are both awsome amps while the

D9 gave me .9 DB gain wire to .5 and is slightly easier on my elec. Instead of the D9 have you looked at the D5's? A lil less but put out around 4k at 14volts not sure about at 12. The D5 also has a 4ohm 500 watt usaci rateing. JFYI
