if you have subs do you need midrange speakers?

dont buy cdt from woofer they give you lower grade tweets and the lower grade xovers with the high grade mid and the power specs are based on the mid and the tweet or xover cant handle that much power
i was gonna get cdt off woofersect and exige matched the price and gave me 2 versions better on the xover and a upgraded tweet for same price

that set has the 450 and tw-24 from exige you can get the 48- and teh tw-25 for the same price or maybe 10 bucks more shoot him a pm
Please don't confuse this guy further. He's still trying to figure out what crossovers and midranges do.

They do not "give you lower grade" stuff. You get the right stuff from them. You got upgraded in your deal with exige, thats great. Don't make it sound like woofersetc is selling some rip off speakers with bogus parts. They're not. Those are the real sets from CDT. They work great and are a good value.

you sir are a noob

they are giving power ratings based on the woofer and it can handle it but the xover cant and the tweet might not be able to either

why would you buy from woofer when you can buy from exige with upgraded tweets and xovers that can handle more power for the same price you make no sense

they are selling real parts but selling stuff that you can get cheaper or for the same price get better cdt products for the same price

okay so i could buy a coaxial or a component and it does the same thing as a midrange?

NO! Coaxials are basically the same thing as a component set, just missing the crossover. They are not the same thing as a mid range. They have a midrange and a tweeter. A midrage is just part of the componet set or the coaxial. They each have a mid and a tweeter.

A midrange AND A TWEETER. You need both. Mid frequencies and high frequencies.

This is just a midrange speaker, see how it's missing the small round tweeter in the middle, this would sound terrible without a tweeter. It would sound you put your fingers in your ears then tried to listen to music. Everything would be dull and muffled:

This is a coaxial, see the tweeter on top of the midrange speaker. It is a tweeter glued ontop of a midrange:

This is a component set, see the tweeter on the bottom of the screen next to the mid and the crossover.

I'm trying to help this guy out explaining how speakers work and your calling me names and claiming woofers sells "low grade stuff" and has BS stats.

Nice.
