guys, these dudes are great, they have awseome customer support, great prices and their alts do 14.4v@2000rpm.

i got a 160amp alternator (stock is 80 for my car!) for 150 shipped.

http://www.motorcitysuperstore.com/ is their ebay seller store;

http://www.motorcityreman.com/ is their homepage.

again, for HIGH OUTPUT ALTERNATORS AT A DISCOUNT PRICE, check these guys out. they got back to me ASAP about questions concerning my make\model of car, weather the alternators do 14.4v and what RPM they are at.

GREAT GUYS!

they are good guys, and they will get back to you quick. i dont know if they have 200+ alts, but they might be able to rewire one for you. i know for sure they can get 160.

good luck with it! tell us how you faire.

gonna see how much it is for a 200 amp alt for my 92 caddy seville and get two more L7s :-D...i dont think my stock 140amp alt is enough for 3000watts for subs and 100watts for comps :-\
my stock 140A handled my pair of 2500D's without a problem

my voltage drops when im idle at like a stop light and what not, do you think it could still handle another 1500watt load?
If you are looking into getting a HO alt, ask them for the amperage that it will output at idle. It is possible to get a HO alt that puts out less at idle then the stock alt, hence not curing your problem.

Will I need a new alt for my 99 Expedition/triton 5.4 liter? Or do I need/should I get a 2nd battery?

Amps:

Front 250 watt

Rear 150 watt (Maybe)

Sub 1500 watt

Impossible to say for sure. Hook it all up, and if it does have problems, let us know what they are and how severe it is and then we can give recommendations

So... Have you load tested the alternator to prove the claims?

You'll want a spindle RPM checker also, as 2000RPM motor speed, is NOT 2000 RPM alternator speed...

Remember, just because the price is nice and the responses are fast, doesn't mean she'll meet or exceed your demands. Be sure to check it out after you get it.
