see that's the thing with the bible, it was passed down generations after generation before it was finally written down (we can't even get a simple sentence across a chain of 10 people without screwing it up, so i just can't believe that so many stories in the bible were passed down perfectly over such a long period of time) also it's been edited too many times by men with their own agenda; so i really feel reluctant to accept any part of the bible as "fact"

did u know that people used to believe classical newtonian physics that stated we could exceed the speed of light, until einsteins theory of relativity. carbon dating has been proven flawed and that is now recognized by most scientists. the evolutionary theory that we came from monkeys is no longer accepted. what else do u want?

what the method of research? what does that have to do with anything? without getting philosophical all science is is the understanding of things (physical, molecular, etc). an understanding in itself CANT be wrong, but the thing that they "understand" can be. and the methods by which they conduct their research can also be wrong. take a error analysis class, and youll understand. i know this is hard for a hippie sociologist to grasp, but any scientist will tell you that science gets proven wrong. and that science is mans attempt to understand our world as best as we can. and with that we can expect errors and flaws. thats why we have THEORIES

nevermind, i was thinking about the mishnah, oral torah that was passed down verbally until it was written down later. the actually old testement was "supposedly" given by god at mount sinai..
