if money not considered... JL or IDQ

Setup

Sealed dual 12" box with 1.1 cu ft per chamber

Alpine PDX 1.1000 amp

Either:

12" JL W6v2

12" IDQv3

Pricing is pretty darn close so pretend thats not even an issue. Based on the box, power, and overall speaker, which is a 'better' option and why? Specifically which will have more SQ, more SPL, can get deeper, etc?

Thanks!

idq is better product. jl audio is a good product but not near the caliber speaker that the idq is. jl has a very good promotions department. they know how to promote there product very well. there is better product for the same money out there.

This is like one of the worst and ill informed comments Ive pretty much ever heard. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

While I agree his was just an opinionated reply, I certainly dont see you providing any evidence to the contrary. Clearly you are implying you are better 'informed', prove it.

I disagree with that statement.

x2

JL has some of the best quality products out there, fit/finish, durability, and overall performance is excellent. There IS a reason for them being so expensive.

As far as IDQ vs JL, I can only say that the IDMAX will be better than the 12w6v2, beause I owned both, but I think the JL would be better than the IDQ for sure.

I am open to other subs, I think the important thing here is the amp being used (PDX 1.1000). I think it is a little underrated so if its like 1200w rms I wouldnt be surprised. With that said 600w rms per sub

I like ID and JL as I have heard good things about both but again, you guys are welcome to sway me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks

lol..you must not have used much JL...the only JL makes that is worth a dam in my opinion it the w7 line...the rest you couldnt give me...RE's lower products (RE, SR, SE) will outperform the rest of the JL...the 1000/1s, the ones I've sold anyway, dont do rated power and have alot of problems...JL messed up by offering Total Mobile as thier lower line...their amps in my opinion are a much better product.

What is YOUR experience with the JL product? We've sold W0s, W3s, W7s, 250/1s, 300/4, 500/1s, 1000/1s, their sealed powerwedge boxes, h.o. wedges...
