IDQ12v4 Break-in

Hey, all.

I got an IDQ12v4 (4 ohm) that I put in the trunk yesterday. It's sitting in a 1 cu. ft. sealed enclosure. Not sure if it's actually wired 4 ohms or 8. The amp I have it connected to is a Rockford R500x1d. It should be pushing around 300w at 4 ohms.

I want to ensure this sub is broken in properly. Did a search and heard that it takes about two weeks to break it in (I think that's an hour a day? I spend about 2 hours a day on the road or just sitting in the driveway jammin').

What's the "latest" on breaking these in?

While we're at it, what amp could I upgrade to to help this baby sing better? I think it sounds great even brand new but I'm always open to improvements whether in SQ or, if it won't hurt SQ, SPL.

Just play it for about a day without cranking the volume, give the suspension time to stretch out and such. After that, do whatever you want. No one has ever torn a surround or anything of the sort from just going hard on a subwoofer from day 1. I can say that there is definitely a different sound to subwoofers after break in so dont EQ or judge until you give it awhile.
